Why singing n dancing in Bollywood movie is ridiculed but singing n dancing in Hollywood movie is praised to no end?

Is it because Indians make like 100 singing n dancing movies per year but Americans make about once or twice per decade?

I guess you're right. Indians simply abuse it.

But The singing in La La Land was not good.

They are not bad but not exceptionally good either. Bruno Mars music video has better singing and better dancing than this.

If it isn't good, then why do it ?
They should hired people that can do both.

At least in Bollywood films they dub the songs with real singers.

Who the hell mocks Bollywood singing and dancing? They're great!

Better than the singing and dancing in this. Look, I like this movie a lot, but you could have seen better singing and dancing in a "High School Musical" movie.

No doubt. I think most people don't appreciate Bollywood movies as much as they deserve. You have to view them through a different lens than you might a US movie, but that's true of any non-US (and some indie) movies.

I honestly don't know who goes around criticizing the musical numbers in Bollywood films. Those that like musical numbers like them, those who don't ignore their existence. It's so easy to do that, with things that aren't omnipresent.
