Sophie annoyed me!

First she's mad that Liam doesn't tell her that his parents were famous. Then she's pissed off that she didn't tell him that he was using a pen name because he didn't want to be famous. Then she's mad at him for revealing his true identity and becoming famous. I mean, the guy can't win...she doesn't seem to know what she wants.

Plus, she's mad because, as a grown woman, she had to deal with her boyfriend cheating on and dumping her and having that humiliation made public knowledge. Okay yah, that's painful. But being a 19 year old kid, having both parents die in a crash and having that played out in the press? That's way tougher. So it's kind of ridiculous that she can't understand that he wants to keep his identity a secret.

I don't know...she just seemed very self-absorbed and unsympathetic.

It's funny because all Hallmark movies seem to follow the same script. Girl with unrealistic expectations of others, life, and love chimes on about being let down in the past, being too busy for love, or some other b.s situation. Girl then meets impossibly handsome man, awkward flirtation ensues, couple met bliss, then some random event/person/friend/secret unravels their romance, and the last fifteen minutes they get back together.

The end. LOL

Sophie was annoying in every sense of the word.

Sophie didn't annoy me like you two were bothered, but I did feel really bad that she was being so rough on Liam once she figured out who he really was.
I guess I am hopeless romantic because I adore Hallmark movies, and this one I really loved a lot.

Oh, I'm a sucker for Hallmark movies and I'm usually willing to give them a lot of leeway, but sometimes they just miss the mark too much.

reply

Totally agree! Very annoying and arrogant character. Split up with him for not really a good reason- just her own issues.
Why he kept chasing her and wrote a book about her God knows! It didn't ring true at all.

I liked Sophie! Or maybe I just like Amy Acker. Lol

reply

I love Amy Acker! She was great on Angel, and is awesome on Person of Interest.

Root is my favorite character! Although, Sophie couldn't be more different from her. Lol

reply

She annoyed me as well. Although I like Amy Acker as an actress and at the risk of sounding superficial, if the writers are going to have a male character put up with antics like hers and pine over her for so long at least make her much hotter looking. She was definitely no catch considering all her issues.

reply

Yes, she was hideous (sarcasm).

reply

I agree. She was whiny and so insecure that she had to stalk him. The whole plot was unbelievable and she was unhinged. He had more chemistry with his agent and her friends than Sophie.
