Since "Solo" doesn't have Jake Lloyd in a major role, I think it comes in second-to-worst.

Hmm perhaps... although i tend to be more forgiving of badly directed small kids giving lousy performances than badly directed adults, and the acting in both films was diabolical across the board.

Actually, Pernilla August was quite touching. Point to Phantom Menace.

I don't think the acting was the problem. George Lucas writes great stories, but his dialogue always benefited from some editing. The best Star Wars quotes were ones that George Lucas wrote and a writer, actor or director tweaked. "I love you," "I know," was not in the original script.

Also, as much as I love A New Hope, part of the reason Luke was "whiny" was because that's how George envisioned the character. Mark Hamill was just following playing the character the way the director asked him to.

Subpar but not the worst. That would be The Force Awakens. A totally shallow & short sighted corporate committee induced abomination that not only thoroughly sucked balls as its own self contained film but also retroactively undermined the OT & the PT, while also laying a horrible for its own sequels with disastrous results. Never in my life have I seen a single film f*ck up an entire franchise so thoroughly.

Meh. You're definitely entitled to your opinion, but Awakens created several plot points to continue that The Last Jedi chose to ignore and became much more forgettable than Awakens.

And you're entitled to yours but those of us who right away saw TFA fore the clusterf*ck pile of sh*t that it was, that undermined the entire film series including it's own yet to be made sequels, were proven right in the end. TFA didn't set up a damn thing but failure.

Its the most successful star wars film ever made , and is rated highly by critics and audiences, it set up some really interesting plot points, plus the new characters are good compared to the prequels, to say it failed is just utter rubbish.

Ignoring inflation aside, being a financial success is irrelevant to poor quality film making, as are shill critic reviews. The hype & anticipation that initially blinded/deluded people into giving that dumpster fire a pass has declined significantly since 2015 and will continue to do so. Nobody is going to care about Rey, Finn, or Poe in 10 years from now. Most people barely care about these characters now.

I'd rate it ahead of The Last Jedi, Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones.

It might be the most disappointing, because there was a lot of potential there. I liked the cast a lot, including the guy they brought in to play Solo. Instead we got some weird implied romance between Lando and Solo being one upped by the female characters. Fucking Disney.

Better than Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and Attack of the Clones. My guess is it is probably much better than Rise of Skywalker too, but still haven't seen that one.
