Terribly annoying.
It's so unbelievably dumb it's comical. A slo-mo shot of a plate being smeared with parsnip puree or drizzling sauce? C'mon! And what they shoot actually looks gross some times - like the slo-mo shot of CJ sloshing around that sauteed rabbit.
share It's food porn. Look it up. Some of us do watch the show for the cooking and not for the playground bashing of contestants.

Believe it or not, I watch it for the cooking too. I like seeing what they create within the limits of the challenge. But often times what they choose to show in slo-mo is odd to me. I'd understand if it was them slowly putting the dish in front of the judges to eat, or slowly lifting a cloche to reveal something, or some fancy knifework , but to show things like wiping plates, smearing sauces, etc... in slo-mo is just weird.
