US critics

American reviews on 'Autumn Lights' are hogwash compared to the UK reviews. The neg critics hold this film as if a thriller/mystery or genre film when it is a small arthouse character piece. I don't understand how they missed it so badly. It's beautifully filmed with exceptional performances. I vote Guy Kent's very fine & restrained performance over Casey Affleck in 'Manchester by the Sea' easily. The RT score is surprising yet it is only from 7 reviews... RT shouldn't score for under 10 reviews. Dir Angad Aulakh's a filmmaker I'll keep tabs on.
