A few words to the wise during a zombie apocalypse...

1. If you're in a bus, and you hear noises (I don't know, maybe footsteps?) along the roof of said bus, don't just ignore it and leave the rear door open.
2. Have more than one gunner.
3. Hell, give everyone in the crew their own gun.
4. Build a second gate so when you send off a bus to look for survivors, you don't have to worry that the infected will overwhelm the defenders at the gate and swarm your compound.
5. Don't keep your supply drop in an area that's pretty much overrun with infected.
6. If you have food, share it with the soldiers and gunners, etc., and don't make them scrounge around on their own for supplies. You might possibly need their fighting skills. You know, with the zombie apocalypse and everything...
7. If you're in NYC, don't stop counting the stages of the infection at level 4. (New York was completely lost to the infected/zombies but no one noticed the go-wild-and-kill-everyone-in-sight fifth stage?

8. If the test for infection is so easy to do (It is just a gun like device you stick in the neck and get instant results), don't send an invaluable doctor into the field when you can teach any noob to perform the test.

10. If there's a window with a small drop leading to freedom don't stay in a dark room and attempt to hold off a swarm of zombies.

11. When you're trying to evade zombies during an apocalypse, don't stand in the middle of the road to stare at a photograph.
