*SPOILERS* The love story of American and European cinema?

An interesting thought just popped op in my head. I wanted to share it, see what other people think.

What if Gaspar Noé's "Love" was actually the story of American and European (French) cinema's passionate romance; about how they influenced each other and did all kinds of interesting things to each other only so that in the end, they end up miserable, suicidal, alone and maybe dead.

American cinema has an offspring; but it is probably doomed by being under the influence of a miserable and rationally questionable father.
And then you have European cinema which is lost and nowhere to be found and might even have committed suicide.

To me this makes perfect sense if you look at the current state of cinema lol :D
