The misandry is real

This movie is rife with it... it is so easy to always blame the men in film or prop up the damaged man with redemption. At least the son defends his father once in this movie until later he blames him for his moms actions when clearly his mom was partially to blame for the breakup. And the overtop dipiction of the football team and the nerdy girlfriend who is so intelligent and clearly the real women he needs. The message that a high school kid has to look after his mother and be responsible for her is really stupid.
