I'd rather all this effort was for another run with the XFiles...

They did a recent new run of the Xfiles, the ratings sucked so they aren't doing more

Sorry, but the ratings were insanely good for the recent X-Files run.

Where's your evidence? The ratings were high for the first two or three episodes, but after the insanely lame terrorist one, they sank like Saddam in Tikriti quicksand. Given the insanely lame finale, which even the most hardcore X-Files fanboys hated (judging by the reactions on all the relevant boards), the ratings sank even lower and virtually guaranteed there wouldn't be any continuation anytime soon. Even the worst and lowest rated episodes of Homeland score insanely higher than any of the higher ranked episodes of the X-Files redux.

Is that insane enough for you? Truth hurts like a Turkish back rub, Chris Carter can testify to that any day of the week.

The evidence would be here on the wikipedia page:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_X-Files_(season_10)#Ratings

You will see that the "insanely lame terrorist" episode was the lowest rated, yet still very strong ratings for a network show in 2016 (10.9 million viewers). And the ratings actually went up slightly for the following (and "insanely lame" final) episode. Yet you say the ratings "sank" after that episode. Interesting. That would appear to be... a goddamned dirty lie!

Furthermore, here are the ratings for season 5 of Homeland, which you claim the lowest rated of episodes score "insanely higher" than episodes of the X-Files revival:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homeland_(season_5)

Highest rated episode of that season of Homeland is 2.06 million viewers. Yet the lowest rated of The X-Files revival was 10.9 million. Also interesting. It looks like we have another... goddamned dirty lie!

And of course, further evidence would be that we now know The X-Files was renewed for an 11th season, something anybody who wasn't a goddamned dirty lying retard could have seen coming.
