Sally Field is very brave to play this role

I like the idea of this movie. I like movies that go into taboo subjects, and an older woman longing after younger man, is definitely a taboo subject. Just look at many commentators on this site, how they are like "eww, how disgusting, why can't old people behave properly". And Sally Field is very brave to actually play such a woman. Because by playing this woman she basically admits that she herself is considered "too old" by society.

Yeah, Sally has nothing on Iraq soldiers in terms of bravery. Since she's an (overrated) actress and famous, she must be brave. She made the film for attention since her offers are fading, and to be in the spotlight, not bravery

reply

She also made it because it was a good script which turned into a good movie.

Jeez issues with women much? The "bravery" issue was in regards to an older woman playing a role that would bring her possible and expected negative comments for running after a younger man. Nothing whatsoever was mentioned of her situation in comparison to men/women in combat, so why would you even bring that up?

You don't know what an analogy is? You're obviously projecting with that comment, like a frivolous millennial with too much time on your hands. Jeez. Why would even bring that up, in that connect-the dots erroneous fashion?

I didn't know that all Iraq soldiers were male. Field has nothing on Iraq female soldiers, then. Field has nothing on female astronauts, then. Field has nothing on female-strippers who painstakingly strip in order to feed their children.

Keep digging to find something that doesn't exist to veil your own sexism, and scapegoat me in the process. Keep your issues with men--and celebrity worship-- in check, for your own sake. And I will try to stop acknowledging these type of replies.

Boring typical response with your favorite keywords. How many times have you said millenial today?

Hm. Making a comment that doesn't suit you is bad.

Duly noted.

ALL your comments were ill-suited in order to make me look bad. You are really treading her. Or shall I say "amazingly" treading, or "pathetically" treading. You accuse a man of woman-hating, and you best be prepared to hear a reply.

You don't need ANY Help looking bad.
