I just finished watching Vice Principals, the truth is once I watched the first episode, I watched the rest back to back (who needs sleep right?)

I had no idea who Danny McBride is/was and only recognised Walton Goggins from the H8ful eight. Looking through the comments on here there's a lot of love for DMcB which is understandable, he's funny and I assume more recognised in the US, but for me, Goggins steals the show from beginning to end, the nuances in his performance is a work of art, I actually had to pause episode 8 'GIN' several times because I physically felt my sides were going to split from laughter.

Best comedy by far in a looooong time.

maybe the UK perspective was a little click-baity of me. I guess I meant from a perspective of somebody who hasn't seen or heard of either of the actors. The humour takes the cringe of (Gervais/Merchant/Iannucci etc) to a new level, so that may be an evolution of 'brit homour' but you Americans do 'crass humour' so well (I mean that as a compliment btw. So perhaps Vice Principals is the first TV show of a new fusion-genre... either way, it's funny as eff

HBO isn't available here, so very few people had seen this, but having asked around some have seen Eastbound and Down.

pretty much all my friends watch GoT, I've just downloaded season 1... I'm always so late to get into stuff. I only seen Breaking Bad, SoA and Suits this year. I've just googled Last Week Tonight and although I'd never heard of it, it looks like my kinda show. Satirical shows like Veep and the thick of it are my kinda thing :)

I've got a day off work tomorrow, I must start watching GoT

VP is certainly very good, but Eastbound and down is something else. Truly sublime. I got HBO through a VPN service for last week tonight and discovered Eastbound at the same time. Beg, borrow or steal. It's perfect. Oh and you probably have done this, but check out Louie too if you haven't already...if you love cringe it'll have you howling.
