I really think its her ex husband. She has to get back at them somehow why not get back buy getting her ex do to do the dirty deed I'm sure he is pissed off to buy the nasty things they did to her

He was a fat guy, did not match the build plus it is doubtful he would do that for Brown as he did not seem to like her, he just wanted the kids.

The shooter seemed too tall to be Dr. Brown and too slender to be Dascious. I'm thinking it may have been Russell! When the shooter walked up on Gamby, their walk looked an awful lot like Russell's. Although he and Gamby decided to team up to get rid of Dr. Brown, they were still competing for the sole Principal's position and of course you've seen that Russell is not above going to ridiculous lengths to get what he wants.

Sasson is an obvious red herring.

I also believe it is Tavis Brown, as the action of getting Dr. Brown fired really screws his already screwed up kids over. He also displays an obvious desire to care for his children.

And notice that the sign (or whatever that is) at the end blocks the view of the shooters side, specifically his belly.
