I seriously have deep hatred for this movie
It completely ruined the first one and they changed so much about the characters and plot points of the last movie it's ridiculous.
shareI dont have the same hatred you do but I dont like it a bit. I dont mind the the route they ended up going- if it wasnt a sequel to decent movie. Sequels are supposed to build on the first one. It would have been very easy to write a different beach movie with the same archtypes that were not Mac and Brady. Sequels that are untrue to the original characters would be better served as a separate franchise.
As it was, you are right. They undermined the whole plot to the original.
That's exactly it. It's supposed to build on the plot. Show us what happens next. Not change the plot and the character's development to suit the plot they decide to go with.
