DLC Jaws of Hakkon question (Spoilers)

I have pretty much finished exploring the Frostback Basin and have finished the main quests. It seemed to be about an extra 10 hours or so of play, does that sound about right? My question is with regards to the ending of the main story line, which someone addressed in another thread.
(Ending spoilers)
I was disappointed that this DLC didn't address the situation with Solas or the possession at the end. I was really confused about that ending, and although that might have been the point, do you think another DLC will be released that addresses the ending or the main story line at all? Are we going to have to wait until the next game to get some clarification on this?

I thought this DLC was pretty cool, just wish we got more of the main story.

I don't think Solas will be dealt with again in this game.

I agree with the OP in the other thread about Solas not being possessed. He was upset that because the orb was smashed, Mythal/Flemmeth was going to die. No one possessed Solas because he's a god in his own right. He said it should be him (that was going to die) but the elves needed him.

If you play as an elf and romance Solas, you get a lot more information about the game and elven history. Once you do that, there really is no explanation needed for what we saw.

The Solas ending of DAI, in my opinion, was about the most inspired part of the game! It is, I guess, a bit frustrating, but I guess we have to wait for the next game to see where this story is going. I sort of feel, after the ending, that my inquisitor is part of something much bigger than anyone realizes. I like that. However, I was a bit disappointed with some of the mechanics of the game: in particular, the total incompetence of my party unless they were equipped with high level equipment. Am I really impressed with my characters if their worth in battle is entirely dependent upon what their weapons are made of?

Was there something wrong with DAO's combat that I was unaware of?

I agree. The whole weapon/armor focused leveling system is lazy and is ultimately weak attempt to make the combat more challenging (as opposed to just improving enemy AI).

Solas is addressed in the DLC The Trespasser.
