Plot lines don't matter (possible spoilers).

Not only do I not plan on getting Dragon Age 4, but I'm certain that the new plot line introduced at the end of trespasser isn't going to mean anything. Think about it.

At the end of Dragon Age: Origins, Morrigan goes on and on about how big of a threat Flemeth is and that she is preparing what is to come (she's specifically training her child if the player chose to do the Dark Ritual).

However, in Dragon Age 2, none of this matters. Flemeth has a cameo, but is virtually irrelevant to the plot. Instead, the game climaxes with the start of the Mage/Templar War. Once again, we're told that this plot line is going to change everything. That the Mage/Templar War is going to be a real game changer.

However, at the very beginning of Dragon Age Inquisition, Divine Justinia is already hosting peace-talks for the Mage/Templar War. Then we briefly get to pick whether we want to recruit the Templars or Mages to solve a problem irrelevant to the Mage/Templar War. After that, we don't hear anything else about it. That plot dies and the game is centered around closing the breach. Not to mention Flemeth is quite literally removed from the story during the ending.

Now we hear talk about Solas wanting to destroy the world, but it wouldn't surprise if the next game begins with Solas deciding "everyone needs to unite against an even greater evil."

I swear; the writing in this game is atrocious.
