Why not have the brother get married?

If I remember correctly, the brother from the first movie was unmarried. So wouldn't it make more sense to have him marry than her parents?

-Who is it?
-It's Grandpa. And it sounds like he's gotten into the horseradish again.

Because it's been 10 years. He's married now and has kids.

I agree. It would have made more sense to marry off the brother than the parents.

Wasn't the original script of this that the brother was gay and was going to get married? I remember there being buzz about it a couple of years ago. Guess it got scrapped and they decided to make the cousin gay instead.

Edit: I may be thinking of a third Father Of The Bride movie.

Don't ever recall any such presumption or implication over Nico (the brother).

Naturally as time has passed (15+ years) that he would have wed by now. And of course, to a 'nice, sweet Greek virgin'. And have a young family.

This sequel synopsis was apparently directed at Paris Miller's upcoming HS graduation...finding a nice Greek boy to marry.... instead of moving off to advanced education--- same as the original synopsis with Toula.

"What did I say about educating women?"
"I want you to get married....have babies!"
