Security cams - plot hole

I like this tv movie a lot, I gave it 10-10
it was just shown on RAI DUE Italian television in scope of thriller films shown in the evening every Saturday.

There is major plot hole but nevertheless I liked the film.
She could prove her innocence identity at the start by telling the police to check security cams on airoport. If Haiti doesn't have security cams, the one in USA have. they could clearly see her coming onboard with her stepmom.

Since I'm still learning the Italian - the film was with Italian subtitles for better understanding when they talk too fast so I guess characters didn't say anything to cover this plot hole?
