Sakura Tunnel Filming Location

Does anyone know where that beautiful sakura tunnel is located in Japan?

The movie was filmed in Kamakura Japan. That is where the tunnel is.

If you Google Kamakura and sakura (Japanese for Cherry Blossom), you'll find some beautiful photos like this one.

The location of Sakura (Cherry Blossom) Tunnel is located in Numazu-shi, Shizuoka 静岡県沼津市愛鷹広域公園. Masami Nagasawa (Yoshino) and Suzu Hirose (Suzu) lived in Shizuoka Prefecture.

Thanks so much for the info. It's exactly where the scene was filmed!! How did you know? Do you live around that area?

Looking at the map and the movie simultaneously I even found the exact route they rode the bicycle on. It's from the top star to the bottom star:

I'll definitely visit that place next spring when I'm back in japan.

You can find many YouTube videos on Umimachi Diary. Unfortunately they are all in Japanese. Go to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umimachi_Diary and copy Japanese character and paste it in YouTube. You can see how each actress is really like.

I have finally managed to go to the sakura tunnel and it was amazing! so beautiful! thanks again MasaAsa for your help finding it.

If anyone is interested in getting there the easiest way to get there from Tokyo is by High Speed Bus from Tokyo Station or from Shibuya Station to Numazu (2h). From there you can take the bus to the Ashitaka Large Park (15min) and from there its a 5 min walk to the Sakura Tunnel.
