I love japanese movies specially when the story is in the smalls towns where there are traditional japaneses houses.

But, I have a question about the "paper" dors.

This kind of dors are really beatifuls and very nice in summer, but What about winter ?

How they live in this houses in winter ?

Well, I'm pretty sure they said in the movie that the house has no heating. :P And there were many scenes where they were all bundled up in coats and blankets. So maybe that gives you an idea lol.

Yes, but I wondering if this is currently common in traditional houses.

I have no idea but what's worse is when they have a cat and it decides to climb up one of those doors lol. Imagine how baldly those doors would always be scratched up.
