Warren Jeffs is obviously mentally ill

You take a religion that is already on the edge and add a mentally ill leader and you have this disturbing movie. Tony Goldwyn is good. He is an understated psycho. But it's hard to play a living person. Other than that, it's still pretty creepy & disturbing.

reply

Watching it right now. Yeah, he's insane. Good movie so far, though.

AVADA KEDAVRA!!!

I'm watching it right now also .. he had to be one sick man .. I feel so bad for those young girls .. he was like a slave master .

......

I'd like a chance t' shoot at an educated man once in my life .

reply

Sadly some of them still follow him, thank goodness he's in prison.

I feel sorry for all of those underage girls who are being married off and used sexually against their will. Poor kids! How can the parents stand by and let that happen to them?

AVADA KEDAVRA!!!

reply

He just seems to be a very obsessive sexual deviant. And blamed it on God... Shame on him.

This religion started about 200 years ago. Problem is they purposely keep the disciples shut off from the outside world. It becomes complete mind warp and brainwashing. It's truly a sick cult. The only reason Utah was able to become a state was to renounce polygamy. Problem is the state doesn't do anything about it. They should've nipped this in the bud ages ago

reply

Is this a splinter group of the Mormon Church?

reply

"This cult started 200 years ago..."

There. FIFY.

reply

Yes, it's Fundementalist Latter Day Saints. Joseph Smith claimed to receive a proclamation from God to take more wives. Most LDS renounced polygamy in order to stay out of prison and to allow Utah to become a state.

Some of them are now suffering from a condition called fumarase deficiency, and are ruined for life (http://www.deseretnews.com/article/635182923/Birth-defect-is-plaguing- children-in-FLDS-towns.html?pg=all).
