If you're curious about others
I'd suggest reading up on Ervil LeBaron, Warren Jeffs, the Jessops. There's lots of FLDS books. It's a sick "religion" but the books are fascinating and intense

shareRead Escape by Carolyn Jessop
shareThe best book on the subject by far IMHO is "Under the Banner of Heaven". Fascinating and disturbing stuff.
Of the autobiogrphies I think "Shattered Dreams" by Irene Spencer and "Escape" by Carolyn Jessop were very good. The books by Elissa Wall and Flora Jessop aren't as well written but the storues are still interesting. I haven't read either of Dorothy Allred Solomon's books but they're well reviewed.
"Prophet of Blood" is a very good book on Ervil Lebaron, a man even more dangerous and psychotic than Warren Jeffs, he just didn't have as many followers.
I've read every one of those and more
shareGreat point, but it's also important to know where all of this came from.

These guys are only following what they were taught to believe as "revelation" from the founders of the Mormon church. The Jeffs, the LeBarons, etc. did not just spring up in the last 20 years. This has been going on since the 1830s.
