It wasn't about the dog (with spoilers).

The movie takes the name of the dog and the dog is an important character, but the movie isn't about the dog. The dog is just an excuse to talk about friendship and death.

If I'm dying I would't be lending my dog to anybody just to see if he fits into a family, I would choose to make the most of my time with the dog.

Anyway, what do you think about the ending? The writers made it look like it's very easy to travel from Spain to Canada with a dog, but I think this is not accurate. I think you have to do a lot of paperwork and the dog has to be in quarantine in the new country, so that the ending of the movie wouldn't be as easy as it seems in the movie. Any thoughts about it?
