how many seasons do you think it'll have?

My guess is 5 or 6 seems about right. Doesn't feel like they're quite at their conclusion yet, but it is inching ever so closer to where we see Batman and not just Baby-Bat.

Bruce Wayne, or the kid who plays him that is, is growing bigger every season; he's already shot up to the point that he looks like he's in his late teens now. Once he reaches the point when he definitively looks adult, I think the show will have to let him transform into Batman.

While I like this show, I also hope it doesn't overextend itself and drag itself out too long to the point of mediocrity. That's what happened to Smallville, which never should have ran for as long as it did.

I do hope that in Gotham's final season we get to see more of Batman than just his creation in the very final episode. But I don't know if the agreement with DC will let them do that or not.

I say seven to ten seasons, like The Walking Dead.

2-3 more to go i think.

Hopefully ten.

I know its been stated the show will end when Bruce fully becomes the Batman we all know and love, but that's just a waste in my opinion, Bruce could easily become Batman by season 7 and then have Batman take the lead over Jim Gordon for a few seasons, maybe even turn it into movies in a few years, would be an improvement over the current DC movies.

I'm pretty sure when they started the show they said that they weren't ever going to show batman.

Needs a few more. In some respects the show is long in the tooth, in others it's only just getting started. I really want to see some proper Year One Batman with Bruce basically being in full amateur vigilante mode in the end. But honestly, if this was the last season I wouldn't miss it. The show peaked last season.

I'd be fine if next season were the last to be honest. I feel like the show keeps getting better, and I'm enjoying it now as much as ever, and I really surprisingly like the new Poison Ivy. But, I feel like at this point, a finalized costume is really all that's keeping most of these characters from really being who they become. So, being that far along, I feel like it's most reasonable to end it soon. No need for it to be Smallville. But, I wouldn't want it to end this season, this far along in the season, it would feel a little short-sighted.

Gordon's no where near finished with his arc yet. I'm not sure it's reasonable to have him become commissioner in the show's time frame. But things should definitely end with him having his house in order, his affairs sorted, and on the the righteous path. Be a shame if they ended the show right now in that respect.
