Its interesting how sometimes there is not only no justice in the world but the society itself can be wrong and evil or even, as Thomas Vinterberg's Danish movie "The Hunt" (2012) proves - unintentionally evil in order to protect what's good (remember how in that film the whole community was picking on a guy who was WRONGLY ACCUSED of child abuse) but rarely if ever ACTUALLY 100% good.
I haven't seen this movie yet but will definitely do at some point, as recently enough, the subject of communities and societies behaving incorrectly and dashing out, for whatever reasons, various forms of injustice interests and morbidly fascinates me.
I wonder what Thomas Vinterberg himself will think of this film if he sees it and if he can draw parallels to his "The Hunt".
By the way, interestingly enough, Vinterberg's The Hunt was ALSO based on SEVERAL true stories which involved men being persecuted after being wrongly accused of child abuse. Even though a lot of people say that such instances are rather rare but nonetheless not exactly non-existent.
So I suppose eerie parallels can be drawn to both films on these grounds.
By the way jogn-2953 - you HAVE seen "The Hunt" (2012) as well, right? How does it compare to this, story-wise and quality-wise? Thanks!
