The Concept?

Am I the only one that really enjoyed the concept of this show but hated basically all other aspects?

First off, the wall serves no purpose, I originally thought the performers were hidden by the wall until they hit the vote mark, and at that time they'd be revealed.. Which I thought was pretty neat, albeit somewhat Voice-ish but neat nonetheless. But naw, no point at all.

And then you got possibly the worst panel of judges I have ever seen... Zombie Robot Kesha, who has the personality of a squid. Ludacris, who may be the most unprofessional prick I've ever seen on one of these shows, and lastly Paisley, who was more like, good god why am I here?

There we're a few good performances, so I may give it one more shot, and I did appreciate the awkward humor that josh Groban brought to the table... Albeit a bit gimmicky. But beyond that? Don't feel there is much more to offer from this show. Plus, I think there were 8 whole performances in a two hour program! This was probably the biggest disappointment of all. More talent, less filler

I agree with you, great concept which I hope is done again but since wrinkles to iron out.

I do not like that the judges get 7% each, that's too much. Having people's faces on the wall encourages some to vote yes just in hopes seeing their pic. Too much talking and I ignored the sob stories. And the west coast (I live in the east but also watched the west coast feed to see how they handled it) is awkward.

I agree that the live voting was an interesting concept, but nothing else made me want to watch a second episode. Josh Grobin was a bit awkward - maybe would have made a better judge, though having judges seemed pretty pointless. What I didn't like were all the commercial breaks and so few contestants, the crowd noise over the performances, the predominance of 16-18 year olds, and the fake random selection of the instagram girl from the audience. I wonder if the show will get as far as choosing a winner before it's declared a big loser and cancelled.
