Anyone else have an issue with Kesha as a judge?

I personally do not like Kesha as a judge; I have nothing against her personally, I just feels she is a horrible judge. I have watched a numerous episodes of this show and it is difficult for me to remember if she has ever given a vote down, ever. It seems that she will vote up for people based on anything, even when it has nothing to do with singing: liking their hair cut, not wanting to discourage them, feeling sorry for their story, hoping they can get better later, they are attractive to her, etc. I think someone that can actually judge the person on ability should replace her and not someone who votes on everything except ability.

You have hit on my main problem with her - she rarely judges anyone on anything substantive. It is always, "You have such a powerful story." "I liked your story." She lets that override the fact that the singer couldn't seem to decide which key they would sing the song in, or the fact that that they we so often off key, or that their enunciation was so bad they made Bob Dylan sound like a Shakespearean actor in full voice, or even that they were just dull.....

My least favorite part of these sorts of shows is the telethon-like bios where everyone has a tale of woe. Just once, I want to see someone come on who had a regular life, nothing too horrible or unusual, and just wants it bad and has studied and worked and practiced their butt off to get there.

Kesha is basically the worst judge on earth, due to the fact that she has built a career on preaching a message of acceptance, self-love, support and all-inclusiveness. Put simply: Kesha ain't the kind of girl who's going to shoot down young hopefuls on live television because she's too damn nice.
