it's creepy. palpatine, maul, obi wan, yoda, luke etc .. can come back from death in some form

He's not wrong, Star Wars uses a lot of clichés.

But at its best, the series uses clichés so well they show why they became clichés in the first place.

Took me a minute to remember whether Jin Erso was the Rogue One Boy or Rogue One Girl.

This movie has such memorable characters.

There are way too many resurrections in SW. It reduces the gravity of the lightsaber duels and rare deaths when they do occur. If you die in SW, you might actually become more powerful than you were before, so maybe giving yourself up is actually the better option. It's stupid and juvenile.
