i'M STOKED, but how is he going to pull it off?

I'm half way through the book, which apparently is one of King's most divisive, and is (so far) one of my favorite's by him. Such a simple, clever, idea played to maximum discomfort.

This also seems to be right up Flanagan's alley. I loved how he played with the timelines in Oculus, blending past and present.

But how is he going to pull this off? Most of the book is an internal dialogue between her and the voices. I can't imagine voice over working very well. I guess he could externalize the voices and have them talk to her while standing in the room, or something.

Either way, I'm so stoked that this is in his hands. And I love this book.

You're asking the same question that I had, but however tricky it is I've wanted it all along. If it's done well, it will be one of the biggest challenges to watch you'll ever see.

Considering the "Degloving" sequence nearly made me faint, I'm sure it will be quite grueling to sit through.

There hasn't been an update on here, I wonder if it is going to get made. I read the book a while ago and thought to myself that it would be impossible to make a movie out of it. I hope a movie is made just so I can see how they pull it off.

apparently it is still 'in development' so I really hope it still gets made. But now that Flanagan's other film was pushed back to this year, and he seems to be working on something else as well, I'm not sure.

OMG I read this book years ago it's a great one I just love King. I can't wait for this!!!!

I'm watching 127 hours with James Franco. If this movie can be pulled off, then Gerald's Game can be. Alhough I am a half hour into 127 hours and am not that impressed with it. I liked the book of Gerald's Game though.

Well, there is her position as she is (with the dog, etc.). But I seem to remember (it's been awhile since I've read it) that she also has several memories in the book, especially the painful one at the time of the eclipse (it was meant to be two books together...King wanted this and Dolores Claiborne be released bound together...because of that huge similarity), I think that by including those memories, he will make a pretty decent movie. There were memories of college, too. I'm excited to see what he does with it! I loved the book, myself...it was during his fascination with "closed spaces".....so much worse than just a locked room. I think King did an excellent job. I'm expecting Flanagan to, as well. Does anyone know if it was his idea to turn it into a movie???

Oh...and I see his wife is in it....she's good,too.
