Anything that is destructive to an individual or to society is considered a sin in Christianity and all three of these scenarios could be seen as potentially sinful.
None of these scenarios are acceptable, but that's life, and that is what makes this show interesting.
First of all, the Pastor couldn't relate to women around his own age. She was only 15 and that sort of thing had happened before with other underage young women. It would certainly be unacceptable for a minister to carry on like that.
Secondly concerning Sidney carrying on with a married woman. It seems to me that Amanda was more the one that was pushing it and that Sidney had too much sympathy for her and should have put a stop to it, but he didn't - now what does he do? Amanda and Sidney were not having sexual relations, so can you really say they were carrying on or having an affair?
Thirdly, Leonard's way of life can also be seen as destructive. Since Christianity is based on family and his way would not be seen as supporting the concept of a Christian family, with children, which is the basis of civilization. Homosexual activities can also produce venereal disease which is very destructive to society.
All three of these scenarios can be seen as destructive to a proper functioning Christian culture.
In all three cases, if the love was pure and chaste from afar, then there is nothing wrong with that.
