Season 8 Episode 3

I'm trying to get the logic behind PADRE, but it makes absolutely no sense.
The 2 kids twisted what their father started. And their logic for doing so was that no kid should have to go through losing their parents.
So their solution is to take them from their parents? Not only that, but tell them their parents abandoned them. Zero sense.
I would much rather lose my parents due to death, as that's a part of life, than think that my parents didn't want me and gave me up.
