Episode 5X9

Classic waste of time filler episode. Example of why they need to cut the show down to 10-12 episodes and get rid of the split season crap. The found footage filming had me zzzzz.

I likened it to the "clip" shows you see on the 30 minute sitcoms where the entire episode is just pieces of already aired episodes cobbled together. I just don't see the need to keep reminding us of their motivations. It seems like every two or three minutes you have one of the characters telling someone they're trying to make up for their past deeds and just want to help people and make the world a better place. Let's face it, with the exception of one or two characters, these guys ain't that deep or complicated. And of course, Al knew all about defusing land mines.

Yeah it was pretty bad!

Yeah it was really bad, an entire episode of people sitting infront of a camcorder and talking about their life and ambitions... The landmine stuff was kinda cool, but the rest of the episode was boring as fuck. I don't know why they thought that would be a great idea for their mid season premiere, are they trying to drive fans away?

As i said the landmine stuff was cool and interesting BUT the main scene from it where Morgan is stuck on top of a landmine was completely void of any suspense cause we are shown him talking about the experience on camera from the present day, so we know he gets off it and lives. So that scene that was supposed to be suspenseful wasn't suspenseful in any way cause they already told us he gets off it.

The entire episode except the final 5 minutes is skippable as hell, you could not watch a second from the entire first 35 minutes and not miss a damn thing.

It was probably the worst episode of FTWD to date because it focused in on the WORST aspect of the current show. Al and her the stupid camcorder.

The part with the lady in the house was likewise terrible. There is no way a person could survive YEARS of the zombie apocalypse and still be so naive. When she finally exited the house she still looked like a soccer mom who had just made a run to the supermarket for cake batter. The weak would not have survived this long, even with a mine field.

was just barely watching and more surfing on my phone and whenever they were talking in front of the camera i was fast forwarding. Honestly where the heck did they get a second camera as well??? felt like i was watching a Cops/Live PD. Heavily usage of walkies talkies is getting tiresome as well. Everybody has a walkie talkie hells and they have extras to give away for care package boxes away as well.

unlimited supplies of food, bullets, walkie talkies, batteries and bo staffs

Al said they picked it up along the way. She didn't go into too much detail.

Some of the things they take for granted on the mothership show is the exact opposite in FtWD. I mean, they had a generator running the entire time to power the television. You mean to tell me they just leave it like that 24/7? Does Morgan know? If he does, didn't he learn anything from Rick? Isn't fuel supposed to be scarce at this point? That one guy obviously siphoned whatever was in the generator after popping the lock off of the door and poured it into his motorcycle.

I don't know, seems like the writers are just throwing crap at the wall. Maybe they're intentionally trying to make it silly, like the flying beer bottle balloon.
