Hope the 2 timelines doesn't mess up season 4

TWD overuses that gimmick of having multiple timelines in an episode and it is so annoying. I hope since FTWD are using that now they at least execute it well or only use it minimally.

Is that how they're doing it? Source? Hadn't heard that, had just heard there'd be a time jump. Honestly, either will just feel like a forced way to add Morgan. I think I'd prefer the time jump, multiple timelines feels too much like Lost or Once Upon a Time, where it should only be done if it's part of the general format, not as an experiment. I like both series, but feel it's time for them to go. Kind of hoping FtWD will end with Season 4, then maybe transplant the survivors to the main show since they're apparently tying them together, then end that soon after.

Thanks.

Mixed. This could be cool. But it feels gimmicky. Making people tune in to see how it's handled, and in this universe, they'll take at least half the season to explain. It feels unnecessary, and like they're short on ideas and desperate to tie it to the parent show. It'll cease to be just a prequel. Which is what they used to stress it would stay. And really they just skipped ahead too fast I feel.

I think we'll end up with three timelines. The first will be immediately following the finale. The second will be Morgan on his initial solo adventures, and meeting the Clarks, up through him leaving them. Notice in the promo he didn't say anything that would definitively place it after, was just about his family. The third will be whatever takes place after Morgan leaves WD, going back for the remaining Clarks later on.
