Proctor John recovered from back surgery within minutes

Dude has some Jesus like healing abilities apparently. He just hopped off the table, put his shirt back on and got back to business. He acted as if he just got a tooth pulled or something.

Yeah...tv and films are ridiculous...
Im watching Purge Election Year atm...a guy got shot in the collar bone area and hes just still kicking ass lol...i stub my toe and i need to lie down

What bothers me more is that the writers wrote it that way, like the audience is stupid. Truth is he wouldn't have been able to walk at all at first.

As a retired operating room nurse, who HAS assisted with surgery, this was extremely unrealistic. He would NOT have been able to walk very well and would definitely have been in extreme pain. His sutures would have been compromised.

I had minor surgery on my knee seven years ago and i missed 4 days of work!!!
I believe you (btw my wife is a nurse...RN's are unsung heroes...thx for what you did)

Thanks Shogun!

I had an inguinal hernia operation in 2002. I was told by the surgeon to stay in bed and rest until I had enough time to heal at home. That took me about a week or so with the painkillers I was prescribed. I barely made it to and from the bathroom.

Proctor John had major back surgery to remove a tumor (I think) pressing against his spine. No way on God's green earth would he have been up and walking around within minutes. The guy definitely would have been laid up in bed for quite some time.

This is why I laugh at the writing on "FtWD". It's beyond stupid.

Sorry about your medical problem

He was kind of creepy towards Alicia, so maybe having her in the room (didn't he call her his angel?) gave him magnificent healing powers.

But in all seriousness, yes it was absurd how fast he was up and walking. A few scenes later, he was climbing steps and sitting/standing like he had no surgery at all.
