Why Don't I Care? (Spoilers)

Several characters have died this season, and yet I had no emotional response.
Travis and Ofelia died. I didn't care.
Lola, Efain, Jake and Troy died (minor characters, but quite important for Season 3). I didn't care.
For a moment it seemed like Daniel was dead (he is my favorite character), yet I didn't care.

In TWD the character deaths seem be more tragic.
Tyreese's death was heartbreaking. We had seen him lose the will to live and the episode was so beautifully and artistically shot and written.
Beth's death was a tragedy that had repercussions through the group.
Glen and Abraham's deaths crushed Rick and then united the group and others to stand up against Negan.
Hershel's death, Sasha's death, Andrea's death all had meaning.

After three full seasons, I can't bring myself to care about any of the FTWD characters.

The writers and producers essentially have spent three seasons creating main characters that have no redeeming qualities. For example, they allowed Chris' character to get so irritating that his death was a welcome relief. And the folks that actually are caring and human, like Lola, Efrain and others are quickly steamrolled over by the careless actions of the Clark's and Co. Speaking of which, it seems like at least one Clark is still alive. No one is safe. Those poor saps fetching water along the riverside have no clue what's about to happen to them once Madison decides to stick around.

And for the record, my complaints have nothing to do with the actors. I believe they're doing the best they can in order to make bank.

The show is boring and the characters are uninteresting. I'm attempting to watch season 2 and it's unbearable. Why Nick is a main character is beyond me. I don't mind drama, but the only character with any depth was Daniel. It's a crap show written to tide over TWD fans. I'm turning it off for good. We shouldn't encourage this show.
