shareThe ranch is overun by zombies, remember they had to create a diversion by blowing the fuel storage area in order to get Alicia and the other 2 out. There would have taken all the weapons and food supplies but there are just too many zombies around.
shareWhen they left the ranch, they were not in a rush. Madison had a conversation with Alicia about going/not going to the dam. Then she had a conversation with Nick about following Alicia. She also had a conversation with Ofelia about Daniel. They were not on the run.
The horde was not near the pantry. They could have cleared out the pantry of walkers (there were only a couple of dozen max) and collected all the food and weapons from within.
That place is a goldmine. There was NO REASON to leave all that stuff behind. None.

shareThe place they were talking is not beside the pantry, after they rescued Alicia, the scene is cut and they were about several miles away ,notice that they were looking at the ranch from a distance as they were speaking to one another.
