This show is just so dull.

No interesting characters, no interesting plot, no interesting anything. Even the finales are dull as dog shit.

reply

Don't watch. See? Easy.

reply

Oh theres an original reply. You must have been up all night thinking that one up.

reply

How does that even make sense, considering I replied shortly after you opened your "topic"?

But whatevs, I am done here.

Never understood why people watch shows they don't enjoy, but it's certainly not my job to convince you.

reply

Youre not a very bright boy are you? Never heard of a figure of speech before? Are you new to language?

And how exactly am I suppose to know if I like it or not without watching it? Do I use the force or something? Youll have to teach me that trick. In the mean time, if you dont have any intention of engaging in a conversation, why bother posting? Just so you could type out your very over used witty reply? If you dont have anything to contribute to the conversation, just move on. Ill never understand people who insist on telling other people not to talk about things. I voiced my opinion, why do you have a problem with that?

reply

I am a girl, and like I said, I am done here.

Show is in its 3rd season now, btw. Wonder how "bright" one has to be to take this long to realize it doesn't interest them.

reply

It's a discussion board. Also it may hurt your feelings but people are allowed to think differently than you. If it hurts your feelings that someone posts "mean" stuff about a show you love don't read. See? Easy.

reply

No, it doesn't "hurt my feelings".

reply

Why are you so upset then?

reply

Who said I was?? Just pointing out the absurdity of the OP (and his subsequent "arguments"), that's all.

reply

What does you being a girl have to do with the context of my post? And please point to where I said I watched three seasons? instead of assuming things, engage in conversation. Once again, if you don't want to engage, then don't. Sorry I don't like your ridiculously dull show. I wasn't aware not liking your show would get the same reaction as calling you fat.

reply

The last two episodes weren't exactly captivating, but there was one epic (and bizarre) moment which almost made up for it: Victor Strand talking to a cosmonaut. That was unexpected and fun to watch.

reply

Agreed. The interesting dilemma with this show, imo, is that this season has been the most entertaining to watch yet at the same time its following the same formula as its mother show now. Move from place to place, hope to stay safe, get in the middle of some dangerous human conflict and then all hell breaks loose. Both shows are the same now, rinse, wash, repeat. They bring nothing new to the storyline. I thought this show was supposed to explore what the cause of the outbreak was. But that never happened.

The reason why I think season 1 of TWD is still the best and really the only great season is that the story was progressing somewhere. They had a goal of getting to the CDC and they learned something new. But they never built on that, its been an endless cycle of stagnation since then. I gave up on TWD early in season 7. It just got boring to me, I stopped caring about who died and I thought Negan was so over the top in the theatricality of his menace that I couldn't get invested in it. I started watching out of obligation and gave up. I predict the same will happen with this show for me.

Although the worst of all these shows is The Talking Dead. I can't believe that guy gets paid to host a show where they talk about all this pointless crap. I hope he's the next one to die off.

reply

The first season of TWD was the best. I stopped watching in the middle of 2nd season, that's how fast it deteriorated (in my opinion).

As for FTWD you're right, they seem to be repeating the formula instead of trying something new. They apparently think that people want more of the same, or they simply don't have new ideas, or don't care.

reply

My guess is that their numbers are high enough that they just don't care

reply

OMG! I gave up on "Talking" upon the time of Negan's appearance. I just couldn't stand the guests.
The cast showing up was just fine, but the others?! Comedians, rappers, etc. Couldn't do that anymore. Could not watch that idiot Hardwick pander to them.

I still like TWD, but do not not LOVE IT, as I used to . Negan and the entire "who got Lucille" did me in. Then we have the ridiculous and loathsome Rick and Michonne, who are like brother and sister, turned into feakin' rabbits "doing it" every damn second.Yuck.The freakin' writer that idiot creep just had to pair them romantically. TOTALLY WRONG.
I loved those characters but he ruined them.

reply

That was very cool. I felt very sorry for that guy. He is surely dead.

reply

Gotta agree. I stopped watching two seasons ago and just happened to see that somebody else mentioned it on another board. I wondered if there was any activity over here, and I guess so. I hope it picked up and you guys are enjoying it.

reply

It DID start out very crappy-
But it's picked up a bit since then- Nick and Strand are somewhat interseting characters and i would like to see if they make it to safety alive
Also the blond mom is real cute so we have that going for us...which is nice ;)
