Are we supposed to care?

So are we supposed to care about all these new characters? They have so much storylines and dialogues this season. I think we know the whole story/childhood of Troy by now. Even more than we know the main characters.
I rather want more screentime of Daniel, Strand. Or the whereabouts of Ofelia. (And we are already 6 episode in)

And, what's up with Madison and Troy's relationship. I feel like they are going to kiss at some point LOL.

reply

Agreed, show Ofelia already. I feel like there will have to be some major reveal about her in the mid-season finale. Otherwise, if you're struggling that much to write for a character in a show about the zombie apocalypse, then it's past time to kill that character. I'm starting to care less about her because, due to her storyline and long absence, she's starting to feel tangential and less relevant.

I am growing bored with the entire Troy story and that compound. Once the Indian story plays out, I hope they leave.

reply

Too much Troy story. I do think the whole season will focus on the Indian story :(

reply

Hope so. I mean I got annoyed with the yacht, Mexico, hotel now this place. I did like LA, and wanted to see much more of city happenings.

reply

I agree. TWD is always rural locations and this show was supposed to show the other side- how the apocalypse went in cities.
And now we are back out in the middle of bumfucksville nowhere desert.

reply

That'd be cool, but the problem with that is the characters would have to be even more stupid to be in the cities, as it's sort of generally accepted that in these situations, you want to get away from large populations.

reply

Yep. New York City itself would have over 20 million walking dead wandering the streets. You can't survive in an environment like that, not to mention the dilapidated infrastructure that could start crumbling at any time and cause one to break a limb.

Not like Crysis 2/3 or Enslaved - Odyssey to the West where massive canyons open up in NYC streets--that's just stupid & unrealistic, just facade cracks and plants growing in the streets.

reply

yep
