Favorite character gone.

Goddammit. Gonna be hard watching this show now. Brick (Travis) was by far the most compelling character for me.

reply

It was awkward on Talking Dead because Chris was talking about Avatar sequels and Cliff Curtis apparently is limited in what he can say about it.

reply

Travis being offed, no one saw that coming. Definitely TWD Universe's most unexpected death, even more than Dale's. For me Ofelia is the most compelling, and she wasn't in either premiere episodes...

(Facebook FEAR page typed her name as Ophelia.... Learn2continuity, AMC.)

reply

Ofelia is the latinized version of Ophelia. Sorta like Juan is to John and Jorge is to George.

reply

Indeed, but in-universe she'll spell her name the same all the time, I wonder what the true spelling is? :)

reply

I can't believe they killed Travis!!!

reply

Yeah, it's pretty brutal. He was my favorite character on the show by far.

From what I heard, the actor signed on to have a huge role in the next several Avatar sequels from James Cameron, so at least he's moving on to big things.

reply

Ah, so that's the reason.

Well, I'm happy for him to land an attractive role in Avatar, but I still wish he could've balanced both of the roles, cause FTWD won't be the same without him. At least they gave him a memorable death.

reply

James Cameron has been working on the Avatar sequels for years. He hasn't started filming yet? You've got to be kidding!

reply

The deadlines on the Avatar movies keep getting pushed back and pushed back. Finally they've committed themselves to a timeline but the first sequel won't premiere until December, 2020.

It looked as though Travis had taken multiple bites to the abdomen, presumably during his pit fight with the walkers. But then why wasn't he bleeding profusely all over his shirt before getting on the helicopter? The other possibility is that he was hit twice by bullets. Fifty caliber slugs can leave nasty, gaping exit wounds. Either way it's too bad. He was one of my favorites right from the beginning. R.I.P. Travis Manawa!

reply

I think it is bites, I think he made sure not to let his family know until they were safe. That's why she lets him go, she knows if he turns he will endanger them and Travis wouldn't want that.

reply

Oh no , can't agree . He was probably the worst actor on the show next to Kim Dickens, the mother . She is better this season though.

reply

It was random and not satisfying at all
Watching it i was thinking 'they had to kill him off because the actor can't continou making the show'
Funny how that really is the reason

reply

I liked him a lot too
But i liked the 'shocking' killing off of the guy...
Honestly, i prefer his woman Madison...she and druggy Nick and the gay black dude are my favorites...Vic i believe hes called (may be wrong there)
Not a terrible show overall...
