leave the main area? I am not too far into the game, but was recently assigned a mission to an area I don't have a map for yet. Only problem is, I can't get there. The main area is surrounded by a giant mountain and no matter what I do, I can't get to the part of the map where my mission is.

Yeah, but I haven't been able to find a spot where I can use it to get out of the main area.

Are you in the village with Sabal and Amity? I believe the path you need to take is to the left of the cliff after you walk down the steps.

I'll have to double check to be sure (I stopped playing for the time being), but I think it's the one where I have to choose between the male and female leaders of the Golden Path.
