I can't quite describe it, but it doesn't seem as realistic or even in-your-face as Far Cry 3. It actually sounds softer, isn't as hectic or intense as Far Cry 3, and generally feels less real. I don't feel like I'm really shooting a gun in this one.

What I didnt care for is the animals in FC 4; way more aggressive than in 3, and for that matter more irritating. Also, the main campaign is definitely not as engaging as 3's story was, and for the most part is just you picking sides while hearing the other side complain about the choices you make (despite everyone supposedly being on the same path). FC 4 is fun from a side quest pov, but the main story is rather bland and dull.

I found them to be pretty similar... but I understand exactly what you mean. I found FarCry 3 and 4 pretty similar in terms of gunplay, but I found Borderlands 2 lacked some of the impact of the weapons that the original had. Like you said it felt less real and more like you're just clicking a mouse.
