So Where’s Kong?

After a couple of years reading just how we were getting a stinger in “GKOTM” to tie it to “Godzilla vs. Kong” in 2020, we got absolutely nothing of the kind.
Yeah there was a stinger alright but Legendary pulled a fast one on us.

No Kong, no Skull Island no nothing, except a severed Ghidora head. Big whoopdee doo! That in itself does nothing to tie it in to Kong so who are they kidding? So much for constantly hearing that crap for them to turn around & do zilch. Good job in fucking all of us over boys!

Oh btw another gripe I have were all the rumors that supposedly “confirmed” how a cast member from “Kong, Skull Island” was going to make an appearance in this which never happened, at least to the best of my knowledge anyway.

In addition I guess we can also put away the rumors that Charles Dance’s character was speculated to be Captain James Conrad from “KSI” who was portrayed by Tom Hiddleston but as it turns out he’s just a eco terrorist named Jonah Alan. Oh well!

why would Kong be in this movie?

reply

Sigh....never mind.

reply

Why wouldn't he?

reply

Because it's a shared movie universe ? Much like MCU where different characters cross over with other characters

I still remember this question from the 5th grade, 1977 and the ensuing answer:

King Kong...
Went to Hong Kong...
To play Ping Pong...
With his Ding Dong...

reply

I remember this one:

Vasco da gama...
Went to Panama...
And had some bananas...
With his momma.

It was inaccurate because Vasco da gama never went to Panama.

reply

Banana and momma don’t rhyme retard

reply

I dream of a genie
With a ten foot weenie
And he showed it to the lady next door
She thought it was a snake
So she beat it with a rake
Now it's only ten foot four!

reply

I think the black scientist at the Mothra waterfall was the Kong character.

reply

Wow, that's pretty racist!

reply

I hope you are being sarcastic

reply

Lol. I am. The way you have the sentence worded, some sensitive types could take offense by thinking that you are saying the black scientist was the actual Kong character.

reply

If someone really wanted to be angry...but for those that dont read the whole OP....I guess I should say I was answering the question from OPs third paragraph.

Hey its dr clemens from Alien3.

reply

Forgot he was in that. Good show crc32.

reply

He's also the guy in Last Action Hero

reply

I don't think any of us actually saw that movie. LOL

reply

Yeah I did. If you think that's bad, I first remember Charles Dance from "The Golden Child" with Eddie Murphy. This was when i was growing up as a teen. For years I didn't take him seriously as an actor because of that movie. Thought he was a B rated actor who starred in B movies. Then Game of Thrones came along & I was like "Do I know that guy?"

reply

I don't know if the last action hero was actual;ly bad or not. I just knew I was't aware in the cinema at the time so I'm guessing it had real low advertisement which probably is the real reason it had poor sales. If it was like kinder garden cop I'm sure it was find.

for that matter I actually saw the super mario movie when it was in the cinema. I'm sure the last action hero was better then that one.

reply

Kong will be in the next movie. They only wanted to make a connection between the 3 movies.

reply

They mention Kong and Skull Island several times, but youre right, I'm surprised we didn't actually see the big guy. I did read that the black scientist guy that we see checking out Mothra is supposed to be the same character from Kong, so there's that.

reply

At the first of the movie for just a few seconds you see Kong from the back walking away in the forest.

reply

You're right, you do. I noticed that when watching the Blu-Ray.

reply

maybe it was too quick, but during the closing credits the last image you see before they shift to just listing the names is the cave painting of King Kong fighting Godzilla. I definitely recall someone mentioning something about Kong and skull island during film, and I think there was an actor who was at Mothra's emergence who was also in the King Kong movie.

reply

I cant see how Kong would fit into this world as being 'king' any more, hes way to small and nowhere as strong as the others, Godzilla brushes past skyscrapers and they fall over whereas Kong can just about climb one!

reply

He's king of Skull Island

reply

He a growing boy.

reply

Oi, mate they mentioned in Skull Island that Kong was just a wee boy in that one. He still had some growing to do to reach his full height and potential.

You're right, though... Kong is nowhere near as strong as Godzilla and I don't even see how they're going to properly fight given that Godzilla had been around for thousands of years, battling, evolving and getting stronger. He looked SOOOOO badass in that last movie. I especially love his face expressions, a pissed off brawler tired of monsters trying to take his thrown. I think GKOTM had the best face out of all the Godzilla movies, especially the ones where he used to be cross-eyed.

reply

Yeah thats true, i forgot they said hes still young and the bones of his parents were a lot bigger, but compared to Godzilla thats a complete mismatch even for a full grown Kong, maybe they will just team up and he can be Godzillas lil bitch Godzuki!!

reply

They are going to end up being close in size, as Kong was still "little" in his movie. He'll fare fine in a fight because he has a lot more agility and maneuverability (his arms are much longer than Godzillas as well).
The only thing that would make it severely unrealistic (I realize I'm saying that about a monster movie lol) is if Godzilla hits him with a blast and Kong gets back up.
But you know they will end up teaming up in the end.

reply

The crossed eyed look is a Japanese artistic think, which is supposed to convey determination and focus. It's used in lots of woodcut paintings.

Doesn't exactly translate culturally.

reply

You damn idiot....he's was never supposed to be in this film.....dumbass...😂😂

reply

There's always an asshole such as you on every thread. Shut your mouth monkey boy & go play in traffic. FYI yes was, but you have no way of proving or disproving that. The people here have brains, you don't.

reply

No dummy. There is going to be a another film, .....🙄🙄🙄
