Looks unwatchable till it hits DVD

So I saw a few clips from this show on YouTube, and with all the black and white coloured-in censorship Japan loves to use to cover up gore and nudity, it seriously looks like this show is generally unwatchable by HOW MUCH IT USES. I mean at some points only a quarter of the picture is easy to see! DAMN.
I'd love to watch this show but from what I've seen of the TV version so far looks like I'll have to wait a while.
A long while.

Yeah, it bothers me, as well. I just started reading the manga, and it's pretty good so far. I know that someone made an edited version of the fight between Nishiki and Kaneki, so you can kind of see the colored version of the fight on Youtube. Hope that helps.

Good news, I found the uncensored version. There are only six episodes so far, but I hope they'll bring in the rest of the episodes. Though, the fifth episode is still censored (to my frustration), but the rest is uncensored. Here's the link:

It wasn't that gory (still bloody, though), and I wonder why they censor even the minor bloody scene. Admittedly, I was a bit disappointed at the creator of this anime and how they enforce censorship (even, though, it's part of 'policy' they put up.). It's stupid. I know the rest of the episode is going to even more bloody and I want to see what they created.

It's simply a method of getting people to buy the DVDs. They do the same to ecchi shows like To Love-Ru or B Gata H Kei, where they even cover up panty shots with big rays of light or a stuck-on stamp or something. That's primarily what their purpose is.

Oh, I see. That makes sense, but they didn't think far ahead, because there will be people trying to find a way to see it uncensored. I remember someone else told me something like that couple years ago, and I've forgotten the reason. Whoops. 

They're such a sneaky bastards, not to mention greedy. Then again, i heard the DVD/Blu-ray sales were terrible in their countries so I guess that also make sense.

It is pretty obnoxious, for sure, censoring even the things that don't need censoring for that purpose alone. Frankly even with people trying to find a way to find it uncensored without buying the DVDs, they'd still have to wait. I think the studios think people would just pre-order the DVD in the off-chance that they wouldn't want to wait for an internet copy.
