Funny line. I wonder why would you blame indians protecting their land in the first place.
The context is that they didnt want to live in the reservations created by their conqueror.

The Indians were treated horribly by the government. Very sad.

Yes, I found that odd too. Of course they were going to defend against an invasion. It hardly needs to be said that he doesn't blame them. I expected more from a Redford produced "documentary." After seeing the gross misinformation about Custer and the LBH, I would be ashamed to have my name attached to this false history.
