Jesse James, Billy the Kid, Crazy Horse, Wyatt Earp? We've seen all these guys 100 times before. What about "Liver-Eating" Johnson, Samuel Walker, Bass Reeves, Jack Slade, Black Bart, Pearl Hart, or Henry Starr? Just for starters.

Tom Horn, Jim Miller, Belle Starr, The Three Guardsman(Heck Thomas, Chris Madsen, Bill Tighlman), Dallas Stoudenmire, etc., are just a few more examples of interesting people from the Old West that rarely get mentioned on history specials like this. I agree with the OP, it's too bad the same people are mentioned in these documentaries over and over. I guess just history buffs and historians are the only ones that know or care about it. I have seen History Channel docs discuss some of the previously mentioned people, but it's rare. It's usually just the same historical figures mentioned each time.

Gunslingers is a good show, I was glad to see Bass Reeves and Killin' Jim Miller featured in the second season. Is there any news about a third?

Wild West Tech is another favorite, I wish the History Channel would release it as a set. They featured a lot of the more obscure stories that movies and other shows keep passing on. Captain Jonathan Davis killing 14 would-be robbers single-handedly during the California Gold Rush seems like a story that should be better known.
