Poor research/mistake

I've already found a problem. In the photo, the players are wearing letter jackets with a "C" on them. Dallas Independent School District letter jackets all have "D's" on them, no matter which high school you attend. Therefore, the jackets should have a "D" on them.

As far as the actual story, The students failed at least one class, but when the teacher gave them a failing grade, the principal changed the grade and fired the teacher. The superintendent supported the principal. The schools who played Carter in the playoffs sued the school and the district. It took two years, but the school was eventually stripped of the state title.

Several of the players were arrested for armed robbery after the season was over and were sentenced to prison.

How can we expect the world to trust in a loving God, when His followers can be so full of hate?

True, letter jackets supplied by the school have a "D" on them. But by the late 70s, personalized letter jackets with your name emblazoned on the back were all the rage, with the latest hip phrases, etc. splashed all over them. Official jackets had none of the extra gewgaws. Those "C" jackets may be personal (i.,e., non-official) jackets.
