A desperate plea in advance to Eros about the blu-ray!

I don't believe this plea will be heeded but I think I would echo what other fans of this film would echo - on releasing this as blu-ray (and DVD) please I beg of you 😭 omit the Eros watermark from the beginnings of each of the songs if you are even thinking about considering it. A logo watermark perfectly ruins the picture! A film as sumptuous as this will only be horrendously spoiled and cheapened with such things! I bought the 'Ram Leela' blu-ray and my heart sunk seeing the watermarks. Watermarks (and smoking warnings) are the reason why after Shemaroo's 'Queen' blu-ray, I have decided not to buy anymore Shemaroo. I'm not sure what people in India think but picture quality in the West on blu-ray is paramount. Seeing a watermark on screen makes it only on par with 'sub standard joke that is suddenly on par with VCD'. Please SLB - in line with your films of visual art perfection that I am in awe of, please tell them not to stamp your sum of many years hard work artwork with a sudden commercial watermark!

I will be watching it at the movies a 2nd time tomorrow and will relish the visual splendour knowing it won't have the watermark on the big screen!

😨 Very sad but I guess it's the truth. There might be consolation - I ended up getting a legit 'Queen' blu-ray release from Hong Kong that wasn't done by Shemaroo. That version doesn't have the Shemaroo watermark (even though it still censors bras, few swear words and embedded smoking warnings). With 'Bajirao Mastani' being screened in China in March 2016 I hope that maybe another company might end up eventually picking up distribution rights to releasing it on blu-ray or DVD...

Gosh I watched 'BM' again on the big screen last night and it was so beautiful. I could see more what I couldn't see before. This time I just totally ignored the subtitles and just looked at the design, detail, colour schemes, all the actors and the way they acted/emoted. Exquisite exquisite exquisite. I watched it to the very very end of the end credits (where they repeat the disclaimer warning that they have at the beginning). It wasn't until I heard a rustle behind my seat that I suddenly realised I was the only person left sitting in the theatre after everyone had left. There were two cleaning ushers waiting politely and patiently behind in the corner waiting for me to exit. Leaving the theatre all I thought was that it was such a beautiful and memorable way to end 2015. 🎆

OK I'm actually 'FeelingSoSad' but I can't sign in.

I will wait for BR technical reviews and see whether the Indian Eros version is released with their watermark upon beginning of each song. If it is, I will actually wait and see if the German version that comes out in July has the same issue - :

I hope the German subtitles are optional. If I can get a picture and sound quality that is without watermarks, I will be very happy indeed! I will be very happy to buy many copies.

20/01/2016 - EROS please I beg of you don't watermark 'Bajirao Mastani' blu-ray!

Eros is watermarked as usual...
But the logo is only on for some seconds. I hate that too but it's far less bad than a permanent watermark. I can live with it. Alternatively there is a German version but with lower bit rate.
