Which movie do you like better - Bajirao Mastani or Jodha Akbar?
My choice is - Jodha Akbar. It is much better than Bajirao Mastani. It has no unnecessary glorification, no filmy dialogbaazi, no pointless dance routines and well-crafted battle scenes. The screenplay is so much better too.

shareJodha Akbar in terms of the whole package was better but I believe the lead actor wins hands down in Bajirao. Ranvir did a good job with finer nuances whilst Hrithik could not even speak Urdu properly! Besides Jodha as potrayed in the movie did not exist in real life. Mastani did. So Bajirao is a more factually accurate movie, albeit the ending was entirely masala and fictional.

Both are mindless movies in their own right. When will bollywood find a second story. They can make a movie on chatrapathi Shivaji and they will still find a way to imagine a love story in his time and make him dance and sing
shareNot mindless movies, just following the Bollywood tradition of expressing parts of the story with songs. And I prefer Jodhaa too, but both are technically top movies.
shareI agree, Jodha Akbar is better in every aspect. It is more realistic, better made and even the dances and music made sense and had power in them.
