If dude was gay...

why'd he have sex with that chick? Especially if his bf was dying in the hospital. Seems awfully disrespectful.

Maybe two lonely people in pain, connected for a moment.

This is always such a stupid excuse, and you always see it when these questions arise. I can only wonder as to the broken and disloyal relationships people have when this is their first response, every time.

He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man.

A bit of his self-destructive nature + anger that the bf he loves rejects him even though he lies dying in a hospital... because of what his parents would think of him being gay. And Scott is bisexual or homoflexible.

He's bi or pansexual...

Was this ever confirmed anywhere?

More about him being a user. Using her as a distraction from his personal problems.

In reality, people do it all the time. One of the most destructive acts is when one spouse feels ignored by the other, and has sex with someone else, out of "loneliness" and completely implodes their marital relationship.

Literally what I was thinking. I was so confused when Stephanie asked "So is he...Are you?" Are you what? Don't leave us hanging, that was really frustrating. The way it was said definitely didn't sound like he was bi (not saying he couldn't be, but it was phrased in a way that implied he was gay. Oh well, yet another film which finds it impossible to even mention the B-word). But if he was gay that makes absolutely zero sense that he would sleep with her...
