You never care for their relationship, if they get back together or not, because you hardly get to see their relationship, their love. All you see is their problems...And what a stupid ending.
Rodents of Unusual Size?...I don't think they exist.
Disagree on the ending. I loved the open ending because, like Conor and Eleanor's relationship, it truly could go anywhere. Could they start over, pick up where they left off, realize their time was past and stay friends?

That was a very poorly done open ending. It was just stupid.

Yeah i have to agree didn't care for any one of these people jessica chastains character should of just put a gun to her head and ended it .Even just watching this one film its all you need to see .There is no need to see the other two films as i'm sure they don't offer much more than this film did.It just has that (hands up in the air i don't care why should you ) feel to it.2/10 is what i'm willing to give it ,imo it just didn't try hard enough for me to want to give it more.
Quality in art is not merely a matter of personal opinion but to a high degree objectively traceabl
IMO, the whole film lacked purpose. Practically no background stories on characters or anything. You eventually find out they lost a baby and they went through different grieving processes, which was ultimately the reason for their separation... and that's the whole film. Nothing was explained, nothing was resolved. 😒
I actually wanted to see all three films, but that was prior to watching Them. I no longer have an interest in seeing it. The only thing that might be worth watching is Him, because, IMO, this film was more focused on Her (even though there's a Her version as well).

Ya, you didn't connect with the characters or care about their relationship at all, so you of course didn't care if they got back together or not.

I felt the same way. I didn't feel much of anything for these people because we didn't see enough of their relationship before their separation. All we saw was sex and that's not enough to care what happens to them.
And what about their last scene together when she said she loved him and he responded, "I know you do"? Ouch!
Wasn't it the other way around? I just watched "Her" and I'm pretty sure he said "I love you", and she said "I know". Or do the two films have different versions of that scene?
It kept my attention but probably because I thought something interest would actually develop. By the end I didn't care if they got back together at all. In fact they were probably better off without each other.
