How do you feel about Purefoy's accent?

I really like this show, but I am constantly either impressed or appalled at the accent, can't tell if it's terrible or if I just am not familiar enough with the specific accent, what do you think?

Thank you! I knew somebody would get around to reading my disdain. I do love the show but I hate that accent.

His southern accent is terrible. But for some reason, he does such a good job in the role that it works somehow.
